We found one!

On Saturday, Russell and I set off on an adventure.  Our destination:  Bishop’s Pine Crest Tree Farm in Linwood, Kansas.  We under-estimated the amount of fun it would be to cut down our own Christmas Tree and we stumbled upon the beginnings of a tradition.

Here are some pictures to capture the adventure:

Russell finds “the one”

Don’t be deceived.  Russell didn’t actually let me cut it down myself..

Russell’s the one who actually used the saw.  But…..

… he let me push it over while screaming timber!

Here’s Russell dragging our beloved tree back to get measured.

Voila!

Here’s my two cents:  Take the time and go to a Christmas Tree Farm this year.  It is WELL worth it!

  1. that tree is HUGE!!!! It must be 8 feet tall! I can’t wait to come visit you at your huge house that could fit that thing.

    Also, I love you.

    • Oh Josie, I miss you already. You and Izzy are welcome out here at anytime! Maybe, if you are lucky, we’ll keep our tree up until you arrive. 🙂

  2. Beautiful tree!!!
